My husband is a very difficult person to buy gifts for but this is one gift I know he will love! He has been asking for photos of the family and from vacations that he can have for his computer and iPad. I decided to make him a DVD of some of his favorite photos. This is an ordinary CD case that I altered. I covered the front and back cover with kraft cardstock and embellished it with the Stowaway Paper Line.
I embossed the tag and used Mocha Mama, Blue Hawaiian & Biscotti PowderPuff Chalking Inks to add some color. I also used the Blue Hawaiian PowderPuff Chalking Inks to color the cheesecloth ribbon I tied around the tag.
Here is a close up of the Stowaway Chipboard Die Cut Sticker that I used on the cover. I love these chipboard stickers!
Here is what the inside of the CD case looks like. Instead of photos on the disc, you could make a CD of your Dad's/Husband's favorite songs. Or, you could put together a DVD of some of your favorite memories! There are so many possibilities!
On the right side, I have cut a piece of patterned paper from the Just Jackson line that I am using for my journaling. I added some lines which will make it easy for me to write a sweet message! It would also be a great place to write a playlist if you did a song CD.
I wanted to show you how simple this project is to do so I have a video for you! It takes you step by step through the process of creating this gift. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!
