Craftwork Cards CANDi - Thanks!

Hello everyone! I hope you week is off to a great start! My daughter is starting back to school today... hard to believe that summer is already over!

I have a simple Thank You card to share with you today. I used some We R Memory Keeper papers along with Prima flowers.

And of course, I used CANDi!! I tucked some Little Prints Rose Bouquet CANDi in around the flowers! They were the perfect embellishment for my card! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!

Frosted Designs - Embossing!

Is it really August?! Where did summer go?!!!!! I don't know about you but summer has flown by! I think I have spent more time out of town than in town! But I was in town long enough to participate in this week's challenge at Frosted Designs! This week we are challenging you to use embossing on your card, layout or off the page project! You can do dry embossing or heat embossing, or both! I went with heat embossing on my card!

I used some American Crafts papers for this card. I added some flowers, stitching and a little ink around the edges! It is difficult to show in the photos but I heat embossed the edges of the jar with clear embossing powder. It give is a cool effect in person!

I inked the chipboard heart with 2 different colors of ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I used the current Cardabilities sketch for inspiration!

Our Design Team has done an outstanding job with their embossing projects! Be sure to stop by the Frosted Designs Blog for more inspiration!

Birthday Cards!

We have a few birthdays coming up in our family so I thought I would get a jump start on making the cards. I recently picked up the Simple Stories Happy Day kit and oh my word!! It has so many great papers and journaling cards and stickers and.... you get the idea! So, after playing around a bit, here is what I created!

This card was quick and easy to make! I love that this paper line works well for masculine cards as well as feminine. Sometimes making cards for the men in my life can be challenging but this line makes it so easy!

This card was a little more challenging but well worth the effort! I used one of the transparencies that came in the kit. I cut a rectangle just smaller than the transparency from the front of my card. I then glued the transparency to the back of the cut out. I found an extra large journaling section and cut out the middle and glued this to the front of the card.

I pop dotted the title "celebrate" and the cupcake to the front of the card. I then added some details to the inside of the card. This is the part that was tricky because everything can be seen from the front.

I wanted a place to write a message so I added a flap with room to write under the banner section. I also added some swirls for the cupcake and a happy birthday message! When it was finished, I was thrilled with the way it turned out! I really wish I could show it to you IRL... it looks so much nicer! Hopefully the people receiving these cards like them!

Have a happy Tuesday and a great week!

Some Valentine's Love!

This week has just flown by! I have been really busy with projects but most of them can't be shared here just yet! But.... I do have a few cards I made for my daughter's for Valentine's Day. Would you like to see them?! (I know it is safe to post them here because they never check my blog!!)

The tag is hidden by the bow a bit in the photo but it says "Luv U"!

And here is my "XOXO" card!

I think they are perfect for my two oldest daughters and each card fits their personality! I will send these along with some goodies for Valentine's Day!

Would you like to win the papers I used for these cards?! Stop by tomorrow... it is the first day of the Frosted Designs Love Is In The Air Blog Hop! We will be giving away some great prizes on the Frosted Designs blog and then several of the designers are offering prizes as well! You don't want to miss it!!

And before I go, I wanted to share a few accomplishments this week!

My Winter Fun LO was featured on the Create blog this week! You can see it HERE!

And my Her Heart Belongs to Daddy LO was picked as a Top 10 on the DCWV blog. You can see it HERE!

It is always fun to create but sometimes it's nice to hear that other people like your work too!  :)

More projects to share!

I am back with a few more projects that I created this year! I am still learning how to make cards so I don't always share them, but here are a few...

I had a lot of fun making these so I am sure I will make more in the future! I know the people who receive them always love the personal touch!

I will be back tomorrow with a new layout for our newest Fabulous Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs!

I made some cards!

For those of you who really know me, you know that I am not much of a card maker. However, I needed a few cards this past week, so I decided to make a few! Yay for me!! Here is what I made....

My husband and I attended a fabulous Christmas party on Saturday night and I wanted to send a thank you to the couple who hosted the party.

Back in Indiana, one of my best friends is having a birthday this week so I made her a card! She isn't really big on frilly and blingy so I kept it pretty simple. I did manage to add a little bling with my i-top on the flowers and for the bird's eye!

For some reason I prefer to make easel cards... I think it is because they seem like mini scrapbook pages for me!! lol!! Both of these cards were made using the sketch from the Cricut Circle Blog. This is the sketch....

And then, because I was on a roll, and needed one more card, I made this little cutie! The best part about this one is that I made it out of all the scraps I already had out on my desk! Gotta love that!
I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner for this card. The digital stamp and patterned papers are from The Cutting Cafe... our sponsor at Frosted Designs right now!

Thanks for checking out my cards! I really did have fun making them! Have a great week!

New Things are Happening!!

I am so excited!! Today is our first day of Sketch Along Tuesdays at Frosted Designs!! And yes... I did say sketch!! Frosted Designs has added a sketches to their challenges!! Every other Tuesday, you will find a new sketch challenge!! These sketch challenges will have their own prizes, seperate from the Fabulous Friday Challenges!! AND the best part about our sketches is that they are created by our very own Debbie and Diana!! That means that they are original to Frosted Designs!!!! So... here is our first sketch, created by Debbie!!
I wanted to really challenge myself with this so I decided to make a card with the sketch!! Yep... you heard right!! I made a card!! For those of you who know me, you know that this is a new thing for me! But I have to admit... I like it!! I also like that I can complete a card waaaaayyyy faster than a layout!!  :)
The lighting isn't the best but I am happy with the way it turned out! I made an easel card and did a pretty good job of sticking to the sketch. I had to turn one of the squares into a rectangle to accomodate my sentiment but other than that, I have most of it there!!

Now... you really need to head on over to Frosted Designs to see what the rest of the team did. We actually have a seperate team for our Sketch challenges and we have some incredibly talented people on this team!! (That might explain why I am not officially on this team!! lol!!!) You will love what you see from these ladies!! And then we would love to see you play along with us!! We want to see what you can do with Debbies fabulous sketch!! Remember, by playing along, you have a chance to win this fabulous prize!!

Now... you KNOW this is worth playing for!!! Can't wait to see what you can do!! Thanks for stopping by today!! And thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!! I love hearing what you have to say!!
