Craftwork Cards CANDi - Christmas Card

Merry Christmas Eve! For those that celebrate Christmas, I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas! And since it is Christmas Eve and little ones all around the world are anxiously awaiting the arrival of St. Nick, I thought I would share a fun card with you....

This card was made by taking 17 punched circles that I folded and adhered to form a tree shape. I loved the way it popped right off the card! And of course, Christmas wouldn't be complete without Santa peeking out from behind the tree!

I added CANDi to the tree to look like ornaments. It was the perfect touch! I used glue to adhere them to the tree.

I used the Very Merry Silver CANDi on the card:

Enjoy the time with your family and friends!

Quick Quotes - Christmas Cards

Hi! I'm Barb and I am sharing some Christmas cards with you today! I'm not sure where the time goes but all of a sudden I found that it was December and I was not done (not even close!) with my Christmas cards! Yikes!

I decided it was time to get busy so I created these cards using the Cracklin' Rose line. I love how elegant this line is.

The double sided papers make a card like this quick and simple.

I distressed all the edges on this card with Amaretto PowderPuff Chalking Ink. I finished it off with a brown ribbon bow and some berries with greenery. I hope you were a little more on the ball with making your Christmas Cards. But, if you aren't, Quick Quotes Cracklin' Rose line is the perfect solution for you!

Craftwork Cards CANDi - The Girls!

Hi!  Today I am sharing a Christmas layout of my daughters. Sometimes when they are together, they are just plain silly! But it is moments like this that I want to remember... the silly, goofy, everyday moments!

These were taken after a day of baking Christmas cookies. I am blaming the silliness on too much sugar! :)

And, of course, a layout is not complete until you add a little CANDi! Here I sprinkled a few around the ornament hanging from the title.

This entire layout was made with scraps of Echo Park paper left over from other Christmas projects. I added CANDi to the plain green paper and the red paper for some dimension and interest. I love how it adds dimension without distracting from the layout!

I used this CANDi on my layout:

 Rainforest and Very Merry Silver

Quick Quotes - Laughter!

Happy Friday Everyone! It is my month to host the December challenge at Quick Quotes. This month, I am challenging you to use Vellum on your card, layout or off the page project. Here is my layout...

These pictures are from Thanksgiving this year. I know... not your typical color choice for Thanksgiving photos but since we are in Arizona and the kids were running around barefoot, I thought I could use it! I love the Just Because line...the colors make it so versatile.

The vellum on my layout was this fun quote. It was perfect for the silly photos I was using. I adhered it to a piece of cardstock on the left side and tucked that under the banner. I also put some adhesive where the butterflies and flowers are so it wouldn't be seen.

I would love to see how you use vellum on your projects! Be sure to link up your project for a chance to win this month's prize! Good luck!

QuickQuotes Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper: Just Because 100, 200, 300, 400
PowderPuff Chalking Ink: Amaretto
Vellum Quote: Laughter is the Best Medicine

Other Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Flowers: Petaloo
Punch: Martha Stewart
CANDi: Craftwork Cards
Pen: Copic
Other: Sewing Machine
Sketch: Creative Scrappers #216

Quick Quotes - Dear Santa....

There is nothing more precious than watching kids when Santa comes for a visit! Quick Quotes has the perfect vellum quote for the occasion!

I used a combination of Cherry Truffle and Cracklin' Rose to create this layout. I also used PowderPuff chalking inks in Midnight Confession to distress the edges of each of the patterned papers.

This "Dear Santa" vellum quote is perfect for the pictures of this Santa visit. I mounted the quote on white cardstock so that it would be easier to read and attached it using brads in each corner.

I added a few fun Christmas embellishments and the layout was complete! I inked the edges of the flowers with PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Biscotti to give it an aged look. The beautiful patterns on these papers made this layout quick and easy to complete!

Quick Quotes Products Used:
Patterned Paper: Cherry Truffle 200, 300
Patterned Paper: Cracklin' Rose 100, 200, 300
PowderPuff Chalking Ink: Midnight Confession, Biscotti
Color Vellum Quote: Dear Santa

Other Supplies Used:
Flowers, Pins: Making Memories
Trim: Webster's Pages

Craftwork Cards CANDi - Oh Mickey!

Hello! It is my turn to share on the Craftwork Cards Blog today! I have to be honest... since I have received my shipment of CANDi, I have added it to nearly every project I have worked on! I love the fun colors and patterns and the fact that it is so light weight!

This is a fun layout I created of my daughter who was having fun with the Mickey Mouse statue on Hollywood Blvd!

The CANDi circles were easy to create and added some nice dimension to my page. They were much easier than brads would have been.. can you imagine poking all those holes and getting them spaced perfectly?!

To add interest, I made one large circle and one small circle. I used CANDi fix foam adhesive to adhere  this circle to the layout. I wanted the CANDi in the center of the flower to lay flat so it was adhered using regular glue.

I love the cute little flags I made on this layout! I used bakers twine to stitch them together!

Here are the CANDi colors I used on this layout....

Rainforest

School Days
Coffee Bean
Would you like some CANDi?! You can find it HERE and HERE

CANDi: Craftwork Cards (Rainforest, School Days, Coffee Bean)
Cardstock: Bazzill

Frosted Designs - Happiness is...

Happy Friday everyone! I hope that those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful day with friends and family! I know I did! I had all of my kids with me this year!

It isn't easy trying to get everyone together for a photo but I finally got one I liked!  :) Now we are off for some serious Black Friday Shopping! Watch out!

And since it is Friday, that means we have a new challenge up for you at Frosted Designs! This week we are asking you to use the theme "Happiness Is..." on your card, layout or off the page project! You don't have to use the words but have to show something that reflects it. Here is my layout...

The thing that makes my daughter the happiest is hanging out with all of her friends at the studio! Even though I didn't include the words, this definitely qualifies!

I had a lot of fun layering papers, trims, washi tape and even cardboard from a Starbucks coffee sleeve!

These girls love to be in front of the camera so this chipboard camera was the perfect embellishment!

Be sure to link up your "Happiness Is... " project for a chance to win an 8x10 photo canvas! Also, you are going to want to check out what our Designers at Frosted Designs did to inspire you!

Have a great weekend!
