Quick Quotes - A Good Day!

Hello everyone! I love the new lines Quick Quotes recently released and I finally had a chance to play with Serendipity! I love the blues and purples and greens!

I had these photos of my daughter from a trip to Cabo. They always make me laugh because she is terrified of people in costumes (like the characters at theme parks) but for some reason, she thought these guys were pretty cool! I started with the Serendipity 300 paper as the background. I love that it had a pattern but wasn't overwhelming. I added some white and orange paint splatters before I layered on my papers.

The orange banners were actually a 12 inch border from the Calypso 500 paper. I cut it in half to make the banners. I thought the sentiment was perfect for these silly photos! I inked the edges of the banners with the PowderPuff Chalking ink in Caribbean Blue.

I love the darker blue paper that is part of this line. It has a subtle pattern that is perfect for accenting parts of the layout. I used some of it to make the border on the side of the photo along with the circles.

The best thing about this line is that it is so versatile! It can be used for ANY type of project. I used vacation photos on this one but I have already started a Mother's Day layout using this line!

Quick Quotes - Hawaii Mini Album

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to be sharing my little mini album with you today! I get so excited when it is my turn to get the Club Q Kits! They are always packed FULL of yummy goodies made with the newest Quick Quotes lines! And I was super excited when I found out I was getting the April Club Q kit because it features the Calypso Line! LOVE this line! It is full of fun, bright colors!

Here is what I created….

When I get the kits, I like to pull all of the papers and embellishments out and create my own thing. Here is the mini album that is part of the kit…

I loved the tags that make up the mini album but I knew I would need more pages so I used 5 brown paper bags to create an album that would hold the tags.

I folded the bottom of the bags and used a piece of patterned paper to create a binding to hold everything together. I punched holes through all the layers and tied it together with the ribbon that came in the kit. I then cut the paper bags at different lengths so that each page from the front to the back of my album got a little longer. I also cut the large chipboard tags so that they fit into each of the bags.

Do you like the flowers on the cover? Those are some of the die-cuts that are in this kit!

The tags were so quick and easy to do because everything was pre-cut! I inked around the edges of the chipboard and paper and then added a photo and a few embellishments.

I used the paper from the kit for the backgrounds on each of the paper bag pages and then added my photos. This kit also has an entire sheet of vellum sentiments that I tore into strips and then added to my photos.

When this album was complete, I had 4 large chipboard tags with photos on each side along with the 5 paper bags that I covered and added even more photos to! This was a fast and easy way to complete an entire album in an afternoon!

Quick Quotes - The Sweetest Memories

Hello Everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I am excited to share a layout I created with the Calypso Line! I LOVE this new line!

I adore the orange and blue colors in this line! And I also love that the patterns are bright and fun! I thought they were perfect for this photo of my daughter and her friends hanging out one sunny afternoon!

I fussy cut a few of the flowers from one of the papers and punched butterflies to use as accents. The "Stay True to You" embellishments is from the coordinating Chipboard Die-Cut Stickers! The journal card is from the Sentiments Quick Quote Bundle!

I have always been a huge fan of Quick Quote's PowderPuff Chalking ink. The wood heart that is on the camera was colored with the Lemonade PowderPuff Chalking Ink. I did not have to use a primer, it really went on that bright! I love it!

Make sure you take some time to check out this line. You won't be disappointed! Have a great weekend!
