Quick Quotes - Dear Santa....

There is nothing more precious than watching kids when Santa comes for a visit! Quick Quotes has the perfect vellum quote for the occasion!

I used a combination of Cherry Truffle and Cracklin' Rose to create this layout. I also used PowderPuff chalking inks in Midnight Confession to distress the edges of each of the patterned papers.

This "Dear Santa" vellum quote is perfect for the pictures of this Santa visit. I mounted the quote on white cardstock so that it would be easier to read and attached it using brads in each corner.

I added a few fun Christmas embellishments and the layout was complete! I inked the edges of the flowers with PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Biscotti to give it an aged look. The beautiful patterns on these papers made this layout quick and easy to complete!

Quick Quotes Products Used:
Patterned Paper: Cherry Truffle 200, 300
Patterned Paper: Cracklin' Rose 100, 200, 300
PowderPuff Chalking Ink: Midnight Confession, Biscotti
Color Vellum Quote: Dear Santa

Other Supplies Used:
Flowers, Pins: Making Memories
Trim: Webster's Pages
Brads: The Paper Studio
Other: Ribbon, berries

Craftwork Cards CANDi - Oh Mickey!

Hello! It is my turn to share on the Craftwork Cards Blog today! I have to be honest... since I have received my shipment of CANDi, I have added it to nearly every project I have worked on! I love the fun colors and patterns and the fact that it is so light weight!

This is a fun layout I created of my daughter who was having fun with the Mickey Mouse statue on Hollywood Blvd!

The CANDi circles were easy to create and added some nice dimension to my page. They were much easier than brads would have been.. can you imagine poking all those holes and getting them spaced perfectly?!

To add interest, I made one large circle and one small circle. I used CANDi fix foam adhesive to adhere  this circle to the layout. I wanted the CANDi in the center of the flower to lay flat so it was adhered using regular glue.

I love the cute little flags I made on this layout! I used bakers twine to stitch them together!

Here are the CANDi colors I used on this layout....

Rainforest

School Days
Coffee Bean
Would you like some CANDi?! You can find it HERE and HERE

Supplies Used:
CANDi: Craftwork Cards (Rainforest, School Days, Coffee Bean)
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: Echo Park
Letter Stickers: American Crafts, Basic Grey
Twine: We R Memory Keepers
Flowers: Michaels
Paint Pen: Sharpie

Frosted Designs - Happiness is...

Happy Friday everyone! I hope that those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful day with friends and family! I know I did! I had all of my kids with me this year!

It isn't easy trying to get everyone together for a photo but I finally got one I liked!  :) Now we are off for some serious Black Friday Shopping! Watch out!

And since it is Friday, that means we have a new challenge up for you at Frosted Designs! This week we are asking you to use the theme "Happiness Is..." on your card, layout or off the page project! You don't have to use the words but have to show something that reflects it. Here is my layout...

The thing that makes my daughter the happiest is hanging out with all of her friends at the studio! Even though I didn't include the words, this definitely qualifies!

I had a lot of fun layering papers, trims, washi tape and even cardboard from a Starbucks coffee sleeve!

These girls love to be in front of the camera so this chipboard camera was the perfect embellishment!

Be sure to link up your "Happiness Is... " project for a chance to win an 8x10 photo canvas! Also, you are going to want to check out what our Designers at Frosted Designs did to inspire you!

Have a great weekend!

Quick Quotes/Clear Scraps Blog Hop

*IF YOU ARE HERE FOR THE FROSTED DESIGNS BLOG HOP

Hello! And welcome to the Quick Quotes/ Clear Scraps Blog Hop! I received a fun acrylic/chipboard album from Clear Scraps called "Spring" to play with! I combined it with Quick Quotes Just Because Line and this is what I created....

This album is full of great layers of acrylic and chipboard! Each page is a different cut. The first was butterflies, then flowers followed by leaves... so cool! And perfect for my zoo photos!

I used paint pens to add borders to most of the pages.

I layered 2 banners for the title and added some pop dots for dimension.

I used flowers to help outline the border of the butterfly and carried the flower theme onto the next page.

I love the Clear Scraps albums because they really challenge me as a designer... I have to think about the front and back of a page at the same time since the page is clear! To help hide the adhesive from the banner on the front cover, I used this tag and sentiment on the opposite side.

The page on the right was really challenging for me since it had the shapes of leaves cut out. I figured out that using one large photo at the bottom with 2 smaller photos towards the top worked well. I repeated the same thing on the back side of this page.

Quick Quotes Just Because Line is one of my all time favorites! One reason is the fun color combinations and patterns but the other reason is because it has all these great quotes that coordinate with it. This one was perfect since the zoo trip was all about spending time with grandparents!

Lauren and Brayden had a great time with the goats. On one page they are hugging them, on the other page, Lauren is letting those goats have it! I made a few flags, banners and butterflies as embellishments on these pages.

On the last clear page, I added a cardstock piece of paper that I placed right down the middle.

I fussy cut this flower border from one of the patterned papers and used it as an embellishment.

And finally, the back cover! Very simple, but in my opinion, the perfect ending to this album!

Sorry this post was a little picture heavy... I wanted to show you all of the album!

Thank you for stopping by today!

My New Design Team!

*IF YOU ARE HERE FOR THE FROSTED DESIGNS BLOG HOP

Hello! I am thrilled to be sharing my first layout with you as part of the new Craftwork Cards CANDi Design Team!! I love CANDi!! Before CANDi, I loved to use brads on my cards, layouts and other projects but I didn't like it when I put the brad in the wrong spot because it couldn't be moved! CANDi solves that problem... they are just like brads, except they don't have those annoying legs you have to stick through your paper! It allows me the chance to lay them right on my project, move them around and adhere them when I am ready! :)

Here is a Christmas layout I created using CANDi....

They are perfect for adding some dimension to layouts and they come in so many colors! Gotta love that!  Here I used them to embellish the snowflakes "falling" down the side of my layout!

I love that CANDi comes in various patterns! This CANDi is from the Very Merry Silver Pack. The touch of silver makes it the perfect holiday embellishment!

You can also get CANDi in solid colors! These are from the Rainforest Pack.

There are so many more patterns and colors to choose from. Be sure to check out the Craftwork Cards Store to see the huge variety!
