Frosted Designs - A Challenge and a Big Announcement!

I am pretty excited to share today's post with you! First of all, we had a big announcement on the Frosted Designs blog! Are you ready for this?! Frosted Designs is opening an online scrapbooking & mixed media store AND we are also going to offer kits starting in October!! The store will open on Friday, Sept. 6th and you will slowly see the Frosted Designs blog take on a new look....
But don't worry... we will still host challenges every other week with great prizes that you can win! You can check out the Frosted Designs Blog for more information!

Speaking of challenges, let's get to this week's challenge! We are challenging you to use Numbers on your cards, layouts and off the page projects! Easy Peasey!! Check out my layout...

I can not believe that my baby girl is in 6th grade already! Where does the time go?! As you can see, I have plenty of numbers on this layout! The background has numbers, the title has numbers and some of the accents have numbers! That's a lot of numbers!!

The papers and embellishments are from Basic Grey's Hey Girl Collection. I love this line... it is perfect for those tween pages! On the "note" in the pocket, we added her teacher information. Since she has 4 teachers this year, I thought it would be a good idea to include all of them!

I had a little fun with the title by using various stickers and letters!

We would love to see you play along! You can do any project that includes numbers... it does not have to have a school theme. And be sure to check out the Frosted Designs blog over the next few days for more inspiration! Our Design Team has made some fabulous projects!!

Enjoy your long weekend (if you are in the US!)

Craftwork Cards CANDi - A Friend Is....

Hello Everyone! I'm here to share a layout with you today! I did something I normally don't do... I did a layout that included me! I am so blessed to have Sarah as my best friend. She is the person who can be brutally honest with me while still being my biggest cheerleader! If I have good news, I want to share it with her. If I am having a bad day, she is the one who can make me feel better. She inspires me to be a better person... it stinks that she lives so far away! Thank goodness for cell phones!

I used some Basic Grey papers and embellishments along with CANDi for this layout!

To make this flower, I curled the sides of the CANDi to form the shape of the petals. I then put the 5 petals together to form the flower and finished it off with a gem in the middle!

I also used CANDi with the paint and ink splatters. I love the way they add a splash of color!

Here is the CANDi I used on this layout: Flower Power Mia
Have a great week!

Quick Quotes - Pet Mini Albums

Hi! It's Barb and I am so excited to share a new product from Quick Quotes... mini albums dedicated to your pets! These albums are great! Today I am sharing the Dog Wire Bound Mini Album!

Meet Jasmine! She is our little fur ball and she was pretty excited to pose next to her new album that was all about her! (Can't you see the excitement on her face?!)

These albums are incredibly easy to work with because the pages are predesigned. If you wanted to, you could add a photo and your album would be complete. I added a few extra touches to mine...

It really is that simple! If you would like to see the other Pet Mini Albums available, check out the video!

Quick Quotes and Sketchabilities Have Teamed Up!

Hello! We are thrilled that Quick Quotes has teamed up to sponsor Sketchabilities this week! My fellow Design Team Member Karan owes Sketchabilities and she has given us a fabulous sketch to work with! Here is the layout I created with it...

I used the Quick Quotes Summer Breeze Line... I love the purples and greens and blues!

I fussy cut the flowers from some of the Summer Breeze papers! I added some pearls and gems to the center of them.

The title came from one of the Quick Quotes Club Q kits.

And I loved the quote on this chipboard sticker!

Finally, here is the sketch that we started with....

Be sure to check out all of the other inspiration from the Quick Quotes team!

Hello everyone! I hope you week is off to a great start! My daughter is starting back to school today... hard to believe that summer is already over!

I have a simple Thank You card to share with you today. I used some We R Memory Keeper papers along with Prima flowers.

Quick Quotes - School Days!

Wow! It is hard to believe that it is August already and that the kids will be headed back to school soon! And as disappointed as I am that summer is coming to an end, I am looking forward to having a little more time to work on my scrapbooking! Lucky for me, Quick Quotes has just released this fabulous school line of papers!!

I love this line because it works well for all ages! This photo is of my 3 children with their favorite principal, Mr. Steiner! I used PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Midnight Confessions around the edges of all of my papers.

The Back2School Chipboard Stickers that are part of this collection are the perfect embellishment for my layout!! The triangle banner was cut from one of the patterned papers!

I took chipboard stars, painted them white and then covered them with PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Lemonade. I finished them off by outlining them with a black pen. I used Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink to color the chipboard numbers across the top of the photo. The sticker is from the Back2School Die-Cut Sticker Pack. It is the perfect sentiment for this layout!

If you would like to see the entire school line, be sure to watch this video!

Frosted Designs - Embossing!

Is it really August?! Where did summer go?!!!!! I don't know about you but summer has flown by! I think I have spent more time out of town than in town! But I was in town long enough to participate in this week's challenge at Frosted Designs! This week we are challenging you to use embossing on your card, layout or off the page project! You can do dry embossing or heat embossing, or both! I went with heat embossing on my card!

I used some American Crafts papers for this card. I added some flowers, stitching and a little ink around the edges! It is difficult to show in the photos but I heat embossed the edges of the jar with clear embossing powder. It give is a cool effect in person!

I inked the chipboard heart with 2 different colors of ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I used the current Cardabilities sketch for inspiration!

Our Design Team has done an outstanding job with their embossing projects! Be sure to stop by the Frosted Designs Blog for more inspiration!
