Happy Monday everyone! I am sure many of you start your day watching the news like I do. And I have to admit, it is really strange to see all the snow that is falling all over the country when it is 70+ degrees here in Arizona! Since I can't go outside to enjoy the snow, I decided to pull out some photos from years ago! Here is a layout I made using pictures from 2004....
Lauren and Matt had so much fun playing and sledding in the snow! I loved the bright pink snowsuit Lauren was wearing and wanted to pull pink into my layout.
I scattered snowflakes all around the page and Icing Sugar CANDi was the perfect extra touch. I used some in the center of my snowflakes and I used Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalking Ink (Blue Hawaiian) to stamp snowflakes right on to the CANDi!! I LOVE the way it turned out!
I had a lot of fun creating this layout and I hope I inspired you to try something new!
I am thrilled to be back with Quick Quotes for another year! And I am even more excited to be part of the new Video Tutorial Design Team! I know that I love to learn from other crafters so I am excited to share what I know with all of you!
I was lucky enough to receive the January Club Q Kit to work with!! Wowzers!!! I am in LOVE with these papers!! And once I started creating, I just couldn't stop! So sit back and grab a coffee... I have plenty to share with you!
On one card, I used the PowderPuff Chalking Inks. On the other, I did not. I wanted to show what a dramatic difference it makes to even small projects.
These die cut pieces were in the kit to make a Photo File Box. I decided to use them as envelopes for my cards.
With PowderPuff Chalking Inks Without PowderPuff Chalking Inks
There are some new PowderPuff Chalking Inks that will be released soon and I have to admit, I am pretty excited about them! I put together a quick video tutorial to show you how easy this ink is to use to add color around the edges of your papers, creating a more finished look to your projects.
Happy Friday everyone! I don't know about you but it has been one very busy, long week! I got a lot of things done though! And that includes this layout of Lauren and Maven....
This week our challenge at Frosted Designs is Give a Gift. Pretty much anything goes.... make a gift, package a gift or make a layout of someone receiving/giving a gift. I chose to do the layout. Lauren had a wonderful surprise a few weeks ago when her Best Friend from Texas appeared in Phoenix for an extended weekend!! It was so sweet to have the girls together and the time went by way too quickly. As I watched them I realized how incredible their friendship really is. They truly are two peas in a pod! And since they are all about moustaches right now, I had to include them on the layout! I don't know if you can see them in the smaller photo but both girls have moustache hair clips in and the journal Lauren is giving Maven has a moustache on the front cover. The girls even got pedicures and had them paint a moustache on their big toes! Don't worry... that layout will be coming soon!
I used Ashley's sketch from over at CK this week... thanks Ashley for the inspiration!
By the way... Frosted Designs is having a Design Team call! I would love to see you apply! You can check out the details HERE!
Have a wonderful crafty weekend! I will be back tomorrow with some Quick Quotes projects and a video!
Since I am fairly new to Arizona, I am getting a good giggle every time I hear the weatherman right now... He is telling us to prepare for an "Arctic Blast!" Seriously?!! I understand that upper 40s-low 50s is chilly for this area but I really don't consider this an Arctic Blast!! However, since he got me thinking about cold weather, I decided to create a fun winter layout!
This one was quick and easy! Usually I spend hours on a layout but this one went together quickly! What you can't see in the photo is how sparkly and shiny I made the background with shimmer mists!
Of course, using Karan's sketch over at Sketchabilities really helped the process move along! I love her sketches!
This little bird was with some of my Spring accents but I liked him and used him on my winter layout anyway! :)
I had a lot of fun layering all of the different kinds of snowflakes.... crocheted, acrylic, felt, stickers... love the look!
Happy Monday everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! I usually share layouts with you but today, I thought I would share a card!
I find that I am always running out of Thank You Cards so I thought it was a good time to add a few to my stash. This card was made using the Quick Quotes Miss Morgan line along with Craftworks Cards CANDi!
The large flower was a die cut that came in a Quick Quotes kit. I layered it and inked it up!
To make the smaller flowers, I took 5 purple CANDi's from Covent Garden pack and flipped them upside down. After those were glued into place, I placed a blue CANDi in the center.
CANDi comes in so many colors... there is a color for every project you have!
Good morning! I am hosting this month's challenge at Quick Quotes and would love for you to join in on the fun! All you have to do is create a project that has a banner on it! Easy!!
Now that the busyness of the holidays is over, it is time to get back to some scrapbooking! Over the break, we went back to Indiana where it snowed. Living in Phoenix, we don't see much snow so the kids were pretty excited! I haven't had a chance to print those photos yet, but I was able to pull out photos from years ago....
Sometimes I get tired of the traditional blue and white layouts that I usually create when scrapping snow photos so this time, I added in some browns. I love the way it turned out!
This banner was created with Quick Quotes Stowaway Paper Line. I inked the edges of each flag with PowderPuff Chalking ink in Baja Blue and Mocha Mama.
The chipboard letters were also colored using PowderPuff Chalking ink in Mocha Mama.
Other Products Used: Cardstock: The Paper Studio, Die Cuts with a View Letters: Basic Grey, American Crafts Stickers: K&Co. Shimmer Mist: Creative Imaginations CANDi: Craftwork Cards Ribbon: American Crafts Pen: Copic
