The Magic of Christmas

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you!  Can you believe that we are less than 2 weeks from Christmas?! I was recently going through some of my old Christmas photos and came across this one….

I have made several Christmas layouts in my adventure of being a scrapbooker and looking back at them, most were made with red and green. I thought it would be fun to mix it up a bit and use some non-traditional colors! The Antique Garden 300 paper was perfect for my background!

Quick Quotes is know for their quotes and the Quote Cards are some of my favorite to work with! They always have the perfect quote for every occasion. This quote is from the Sentiments Quote Cards. I added some gold mist that I brushed onto the background to add some sparkle and then used PowderPuff Chalking Inks in Plum Crazy and Purple Passion around the edges!

I love when I can mix up the lines from Quick Quotes and this time I added in some Dusty Road Papers. The tab and word strip on the top of the paper are fussy cut from one of the Dusty Road papers.

Live for the Moments

Hello everyone! Barb here today to host the blog! I have been having so much fun playing with Quick Quotes new lines and I wanted to share a layout I created!

For the background, I used the Alton line. I loved the starburst effect and thought it would be fun to  add some inks, mists and paints!

I used one of the quote strips from the Sheer Joy 500 paper and cut it into pieces to fill the space. I took a black gel pen to add a black border on them to help them "pop" from the page a little.

One of the things I like best about Quick Quotes papers is how well you can mix lines! The patterned paper behind this photo is from Antique Garden.

Hello?!

Good morning! Barb here to host the blog today! When the newest shipment of papers arrived from Quick Quotes, I had some photos laying on my desk and was surprised at how well theAntique Gardens Papers went with these cute little Minion photos!

One day at Universal Studios, I decided that my daughter needed to take a photo with the Minions. As she went to stand in position for the photo, the one Minion kept standing in front of her! So… I thought the title was kind of cute as Lauren was standing behind saying "…. hello?!"

I really like the new papers, Antique Garden, and to have a little fun, I mixed in some blues from the Calypso Line! That is where I found this journal tag!

How cute are these letters?! I took some chipboard letters that I painted white. I then added some dots using a Q-tip and PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Blue Jeans. I love the way they turned out!

I hope you have some time to create today!

Quick Quotes - Pumpkin Pickin'!

Hello everyone! Barb here to host the blog today! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! I have been working on getting some of my older photos put on pages and I ran across this photo of my daughter that I absolutely love!

Quick Quotes recently sent a box of new goodies and this beautiful striped paper was in it! It is part of the Joy Ride Line! Love it!
I totally adore all the chipboard stickers that coordinate with each of the Quick Quotes lines! Not only do they match the line they are designed for, but they also go so well with other lines! I used Chipboard stickers from Baggage Claim and Sheer Joy on this!

I am a huge fan of those cute little tickets!

I also used some leaves from a Bag O'Chips! I inked them all with Mocha Mama. I placed a piece of Joy Ride Paper on the back of the largest circle and then outlined the inside of the leaf with a brown marker and then glued some yellow twine inside the outline. I liked the way the background showed through on the smaller leaf.

Hope you get some time to get your fall photos scrapped! Have a great week!

Quick Quotes - Fall Cards!

Hi there! Barb here to host the blog today! I absolutely love this time of year…. the weather is amazing, fall decorations are displayed and pumpkin bread is being made!  :) Normally I am a layout kind of gal, but I needed a few cards to send out so I decided to give it a try!

The Cherry Truffle line of papers was perfect for my fall themed cards! And I love that both of these cards were made with the same line, yet they are completely different!

I love the elegant look of this Cherry Truffle Paper. The reds and browns are perfect for fall!

Here is another look at the card opened up. It leaves a nice place for writing a personal note! The lined paper inside the card is from the Cracklin' Rose 6x6 paper pad.

I LOVE Quick Quotes chipboard leaves! I added some gold mist to add a little sparkle to the card!

How fun is this yellow gingham paper? I thought it was perfect for the scarecrow sticker I had laying around! The brown background paper came from the Cracklin' Rose 6x6 paper pad. The card is simple but perfect for the person it was made for!

Quick Quotes - Mini Album

Happy Monday everyone! Barb here to host the blog! I absolutely love being part of the Quick Quotes Design Team! Their products are fabulous… so fun and colorful! And when they team up with other manufacturers, it is even more fun!

I was sent this darling Want 2 Scrap Log Cabin Mini Album to work with! How cute is this?! I decided to use Quick Quotes Sheer Joy line along with some Want 2 Scrap Embellishments to complete it!

I did a little "rearranging" with the pearl flourish. I wanted to see the pearls on each side of the flower cluster so I decided to cut it up a little. Otherwise, my flowers would have covered it and it was too pretty to cover up! Those fabulous Decorative Pins are also from Want 2 Scrap!

Quick Quotes has these fabulous Chipboard Die-Cuts with quotes that I used to decorate most of my pages. I scattered some Pearls around the page!

I decided to go with the natural chipboard for the background of this page. I left a lot of room for photos on these two pages!

I love the blues and oranges in the Sheer Joy line! All of the papers and embellishments were perfect for this mini!

Quick Quotes - Moments to Love!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Barb here to host the blog today! One of my favorite products from Quick Quotes has always been the PowderPuff Chalking Inks! I LOVE them!! They can be used in so many ways!! I sure put them to work on this layout!

I finally got around to doing a layout with our Easter picture this year.  I combined a few Quick Quotes lines on this one! I inked the edges of all the papers with Khaki and Mocha Mama PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

The lace piece under the quote actually has three colors on it. I started by inking it with Rusty Nail PowderPuff Chalking ink. I wasn't happy with the color so I decided to spray the lace with water chick blended the ink into the lace. I then went over it with Khaki PowderPuff chalking ink but it still was not the color I was hoping for so I added the third color, Orange Slice. I loved the final look!

Mocha Mama PowderPuff Chalking Ink was used to go around the edges of the kraft doily and add some of the brown dots in the background. I am also lovin' the chipboard stickers that coordinate with the Quick Quotes lines! They are perfect for adding to clusters!

I hope you get some time to get messy and inky this week!

Quick Quotes - Live Life!

Happy Monday everyone! Barb here to host the blog today and I am mixing it up!! I had a lot of fun taking several different collections from Quick Quotes and pulling them together for this layout!

Recently, I took my daughter and her friend to California for the weekend. We had some fun in Santa Monica riding the rides and playing on the beach at night. When I saw the quote "Live Life in Color" I thought of these photos! These two girls certainly live their life in color! They have so much fun and make the most of every opportunity!

I got a little messy with this one which made it so much fun to create! The black chevrons were created using a stencil and PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Midnight Confessions! I used several of the quotes from various lines on this layout!

The orange dots were made with PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Coral. I misted my ink pad with water to make it nice and juicy before using a make-up sponge to apply it with the stencil.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you get a chance to have some messy, creative fun this week!

Quick Quotes - Park Day!

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! Barb here hosting the blog today!

I have been playing with Quick Quotes Baggage Claim Line! Love these papers!! This color combination is one of my favorites!

I liked the large red circle that is on the background paper so I used that to inspire all the other circles on this page! I used paint to create the white circles and then punched a few more circles out of kraft paper. I used Mocha Mama PowderPuff Chalking ink to ink around the edges of the circles and the tags.

The photo on this layout was taken when my daughter was shooting a commercial so I thought the quote that came from the Calypso Die-Cut Sticker package was perfect!

Thanks for stopping by Quick Quotes today and have a crafty weekend!
